I find it harder to decide when I have too many options rather than fewer

Psychologist Barry Schwartz called this the Paradox of Choice — beyond a certain number of options, additional choices produce anxiety rather than satisfaction. More options raise the standard for what is acceptable, increase regret over unchosen alternatives, and shift blame for bad outcomes to your own decision.
