LEGO is the world's largest tire manufacturer — by number of tires
LEGO produces approximately 306 million small rubber tires per year for its toy vehicles. No real tire manufacturer comes close to that volume — Bridgestone, the world's largest real tire company, produces around 190 million per year. LEGO has held this record since at least 2011. The tiny tires are made at LEGO's factory in Billund, Denmark, and are one of the most produced components in the entire LEGO catalogue.
We associate LEGO with plastic bricks, not tires. The idea that a toy company quietly out-manufactures the entire global automotive tire industry by volume is both absurd and completely verifiable.
